Decent start to the week, knee injury to finish :(

This week was basically what I expected for my first week back running until today. At first i was having the usual sluggish week after taking 2 weeks off. I set out on today's trail run which I intended to go about 10miles, my left knee felt a little achy at the start but nothing bad but about 5 miles in KABOOOM ! I can barley bend my leg. I don't even recall twisting it bad or anything, and it hurts in a place I have never had any problems, the upper inside of my knee.  I am really hoping I unknowingly banged it against something and it is swollen and the increase blood flow from running made it worse and not a ligament tear which could ruin my spring track season that I have big plans to set big Prs in the 1500, Mile and 5k.

I will monitor it for the rest of the day along with ice and Motrin. I will not run for 2 days then If it still hurts on Wednesday I will take the rest of the week off and go to medical on Monday since that will be the soonest ill be able to get in because of the holiday and  see what the doctors say.

What made the run worse was that I was about 3 miles away from my car and had to walk/limp back and it was only 37 degrees out.

W. 3am Jog with puppy. Pm 1mile Wu 6x400 with 400 float rest 80,84,80,79,78,74
T 5.3 Miles @ 8-9 pace played basketball for an hour at lunch
F. Lifted weigthts for an hour
S 7miles steady in 45:53 total 5:49 last mile 10x10second hills next to the track 8 tot.
S 5miles on trail then hurt knee :(
 38 miles tot
